3-GOAL THIRD PUSHES RAMPAGE PAST HOGS

Recap 12 17 17

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Chris Butler and Rocco Grimaldi combined for three goals in the final frame to help the San Antonio Rampage skate past the Rockford IceHogs 4-1 at the AT&T Center Sunday. Rockford suffered its second consecutive regulation loss, and fell to 0-3-0-0 against San Antonio this season.

Jeff Glass' 37-save effort was not enough to earn the win for the IceHogs, as the Rampage limited Rockford's offense to just one tally on 24 shots on goal -- its second-lowest single-game shot total of the season. The regulation loss was just Glass' third in his last 13 starts.

For the second contest in a row, Andreas Martinsen notched the Hogs' only point of the game. After Andrew Agozzino put the hosts ahead halfway through the first period, Martinsen knotted the score at one with his fourth goal in his last five outings 8:55 into the middle stanza.

Neither team found the back of the net for almost 20 minutes of game time until Butler potted the game-winning goal on a shorthanded rush seven minutes into the third period. Grimaldi added an insurance marker to double the Rampage lead eight minutes later, and posted an empty-net goal just two minutes later.

Spencer Martin stopped 23 of 24 pucks to earn his second win over the IceHogs in 2017-18, and second in his last six starts.
