The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that weekend passes for the third annual Blackhawks Convention go on sale on Wednesday, December 9 at 10:00 A.M. The Blackhawks Convention, the first of its kind in the National Hockey League, will take place at the Hilton Chicago (720 S. Michigan Ave.) on Friday, July 30; Saturday, July 31 and Sunday, August 1, 2010.
Fans interested in attending can purchase weekend passes at the United Center Box Office, The Blackhawks Store (333 N. Michigan Ave.) or at any Ticketmaster location. Fans can also make hotel room reservations at the Hilton Chicago starting on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M., by calling (877) 865-5320. The room package includes two weekend convention passes (per room, per night) with a minimum one-night stay. The Blackhawks Convention has sold out in each of its first two years, entertaining a total of over 20,000 fans.
For the third consecutive year, both current Blackhawks players and alumni will be in attendance throughout the weekend of the convention, which will include numerous autograph and photo sessions; Q&A panels; exhibits and interactive games and much more. Blackhawks Hall-of-Famers and Team Ambassadors Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Tony Esposito and Denis Savard, General Manager Stan Bowman, Head Coach Joel Quenneville and players Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith and Patrick Kane are all scheduled to appear.
Blackhawks and national television analyst Eddie Olczyk will again serve as the master of ceremonies at the convention. Last year, over 10,000 fans took part in the weekend’s activities, which included live broadcasts on Chicago’s WGN Radio 720 and Comcast SportsNet, along with many more exclusive events.
