John Walter

John joined the IceHogs and Blackhawks organization during 2018-19 season as the Assistant Trainer after serving as the Head Athletic Trainer for Boylan Catholic High School for 26 years. A native of Mendota, Illinois, John has lived in Rockford since 1980, graduated from Boylan Catholic High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University.

For over 29 years, John has been an athletic trainer in the Stateline community with experience in professional baseball (Montreal Expos affiliate), professional basketball (Rockford Lightning) and Boylan Catholic High School.
