POTULNY RECALLED BY THE BLACKHAWKS

Chicago, Ill.- The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled forward Ryan Potulny from the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.

Potulny, 26, shares second on the team with four assists and third with six points (2G, 4A) in eight games with Rockford this season. The Grand Forks, North Dakota, native established career-bests with 15 goals, 17 assists and 32 points in a career-high 64 regular-season tilts with the Edmonton Oilers during the 2009-10 campaign.

Signed as a free agent by Chicago on Sept. 9, 2010, Potulny has posted 22 goals and 27 assists in 116 career NHL contests with Philadelphia (2005-08) and Edmonton (2008-10). Prior to turning pro he played three collegiate seasons at the University of Minnesota where he was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award in his final year with the Gophers.

Potulny will wear jersey number 16 on Saturday night when the Blackhawks visit the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center at 7:00 P.M. (CT).

Poyulny is the fifth player to get recalled from Rockford to Chicago this season joining Brandon Pirri, Jassen Cullimore, Evan Brophey and Ben Smith. Rockford has had 28 different players recalled to the Blackhawks over the past four seasons.

Next Home Game: Saturday, Nov. 6 vs. Manitoba Moose. Game time is slated for 7:05 p.m. The first 2,500 fans to the game will receive an IceHogs baseball cap courtesy of Pepsi, WXRX and WIFR.
