IceHogs Celebrate St. Paddy’s This Saturday!

ICEHOGS RELEASE 2012-13 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE
Rockford, Ill. – Puck drop is drawing closer at the BMO Harris Bank Center, and the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League are preparing for the upcoming 2012-13 campaign by releasing the team’s promotional schedule.
The schedule is jam-packed with popular giveaway items, an appearance by Chicago Blackhawks Ambassador Stan Mikita (Dec. 22), Dollar Nights, and plenty more.
All the action for the 2012-13 season begins on Saturday, Oct. 20 as the IceHogs welcome the Charlotte Checkers into the BMO Harris Bank Center for the club’s home opener at 7:05 p.m. The first 5,000 fans into the building will pick up an IceHogs “It All Starts Here” calendar courtesy of BMO Harris Bank.
Single game tickets (in advance) start as low as $7 for terrace level and only $22 for lower sidelines. A breakdown of all single game ticket prices can be found by clicking here, along with a seating map of the BMO Harris Bank Center. Tickets can be purchased at the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office (Monday-Friday from noon-5 p.m.), online at icehogs.com, by calling (815) 968-5222 or at any Ticketmaster outlet.
Bobbleheads are back with the first of three giveaway nights coming on Saturday, Nov. 3 with the IceHogs Bobblehead Election. The team will conduct a poll by offering fans the bobblehead of their choice of either President Obama or Governor Romney, compliments of WIFR and Dental Dimensions. There will be 2,000 of each candidate handed out to fans upon entry and the first to run out will be named the winner of the election!
The second in the bobblehead series comes courtesy of Pepsi and will feature Colin Fraser’s “bobblehands” on Saturday, Feb. 9 as he displays the two Stanley Cup rings he has won with the Chicago Blackhawks (2010) and Los Angeles Kings (2012). Then, on Sunday, Feb. 17, the first 1,000 kids (14 and under) can pick up the final bobblehead in the series with a Hammy tooth brush holder bobblehead compliments of Riverside Dental.
IceHogs fans can still enjoy several popular giveaways that will be returning for the 12-13 season including Glass Mugs (Friday, Nov. 2 and Saturday, Dec. 8), baseball hats (Saturday, Dec. 15), youth jerseys (Saturday, Dec. 29), drawstring bags (Monday, Jan. 21), fleece blankets (Friday, Jan. 25), water bottles (Friday, Feb. 22) and sock monkeys (Saturday, Mar. 2).
New additions to the promotions slate include picture frame magnet schedules (Sunday, Oct.21 and Sunday, Oct. 28), mini sticks (Saturday, Dec. 22), floppy hats (Friday, Feb. 16) and gym bags (Saturday, Mar. 30).
A new promotional date on the schedule this season is “Los IceHogs Night,” featuring specialty jerseys worn by the IceHogs, on Friday, Nov. 16. The annual teddy bear toss game is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 8 and Pink in the Rink, a benefit for cancer research, will be on Saturday, Jan. 19. The 14th annual jersey auction will be held on Sunday, Apr. 7, presented by Lou Bachrodt.
SEASON-LONG PROMOTIONS
Dollar Days: Fans can take advantage of $1 beers, $1 hot dogs, $1 sodas and $1 companion tickets for every Tuesday and Wednesday game throughout the 2012-13 season.
Skate with the Hogs: Pack the skates and bring them to the game on Oct. 28, Jan. 21 and Feb. 17 for a chance to “Skate with the Hogs”. Players will be on hand after the game to sign autographs and pose for pictures.
Student Rush: All students with a valid student ID will receive the best seat in the house for just $10 on Oct. 25, Nov. 14, 21, and 27, Dec. 27, Jan. 9 and 21, and Apr. 2. Some restrictions may apply.
Family Four Packs: Bring the whole family out for an exciting and affordable night of fun. Family Four packs include four IceHogs tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for just $55, and are available for all non-Saturday games.
