IceHogs Can't Gain Ground, Fall 4-1 to Wolves

Rockford, IL - The Rockford IceHogs fell on home ice 4-1 against the Chicago Wolves on Saturday night inside the BMO Center.
The Wolves struck first at 6:48 of the 1st period with a seeing-eye wrist shot from defenseman Ronan Seeley on the left wing.
In the 2nd period, Rockford earned a 4-on-3 power play but couldn't convert past Chicago's Cayden Primeau. Following the penalty kill, Noel Gunler deflected in a point shot past Stanislav Berezhnoy to push the lead to 2-0 Wolves.
Chicago extended its advantage to 3-0 with another redirect goal in the slot. This time it was Nikita Pavlychev who got a piece of Domenick Fensore's blue line bid.
At 15:37, Skyler Brind'Amour got a piece of another shot from the blue line for the 4-0 Wolves' advantage. In the final minute of regulation, Sam Rinzel beat Primeau in tight to get the Hogs on the board.
