HUTTON AND FLICK RECALLED FROM TOLEDO

Rockford, Ill- The Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League announced on Friday that they have recalled winger Rob Flick and goaltender Carter Hutton from the Toledo Walleye (ECHL).

Flick, 20, started his first professional campaign in Rockford and was held scoreless in one game with the IceHogs. With the Walleye, Flick ranks fourth on the club with 10 points (4g-6a) in 17 contests.

Chicago’s fourth round (#120 overall) draft pick in 2010, Flick, posted 57 points (27g-30a) in 2010-11 for the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors of the OHL. He also helped the Majors reach the Memorial Cup Finals with his 16 postseason points (8g-8a).

In 181 career OHL games, the London, Ontario native registered 99 points (46g-53a) and 393 penalty minutes. He spent all three seasons with Mississauga.

Hutton, 25, has appeared in one game with the IceHogs, stopping all eight shots faced after coming in to relieve Alec Richards on Oct. 29 against Peoria.

In 14 games with Toledo, the Thunder Bay, Ont. has a .900 save percentage with a 3.15 goals against average and a record of 7-7-0. Hutton made 38 saves on Friday in Toledo's 4-2 loss against Greenville.

The second-year backstop appeared in 22 games with the Worcester Sharks (AHL) a season ago and compiled a record of 11-7-2 with a .902 save percentage and a 3.01 goals against average.
