Week 2 Recap
Back-and-forth the Rockford IceHogs went across the U.S.-Canada border during Week 2. During Rockford’s travels between Ontario and the states, they cracked the win column twice and have now earned standings points in three of their first four games, all on the road. The IceHogs finally return home this Friday night, but not before one final road stop in Rosemont against the Chicago Wolves on Wednesday.

Hot Hog Week 2:
Making his 2009-10 IceHogs debut during Week 2, Corey Crawford was solid in his first weekend of action between the pipes. Rockford’s puck stopper made 38 saves to keep the IceHogs in the game on Friday in Hamilton and came back and earned his 10 career professional shutout on Saturday making 16 saves in Lake Erie pacing Rockford to a 3-0 win.

Wednesday, Oct. 14 at Chicago Wolves: The rivaly resumes at 7 p.m. Rockford and Chicago renew their rivalry on Wednesday when the IceHogs travel to the Allstate Arena for the front end of a home-and-home series with the Wolves. The game is the first of 10 on the campaign for the West Division rivals.
Friday, Oct. 16 vs. Chicago Wolves: Game time is 7:05 p.m. After five-straight road tilts to open the 2009-10 regular season the IceHogs finally return home to face the Wolves. The first 5,000 fans to the game will pick up an IceHogs wall calendar from Maverick Media and 23 WIFR.
Saturday, Oct. 17 vs. Peoria Rivermen. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. Hogs fans won’t have to wait long for game two on the home slate as the Hogs and Rivermen meet at the MetroCentre on Saturday. The first 5,000 fans to the game on Saturday will receive an IceHogs magnet schedule courtesy of Dental Dimensions, U.S. Cellular, Guerilla Graffix, WNTA and WTVO-TV channel 17.
