Game Preview: IceHogs Prepare for Another Weekend Against Iowa
Des Moines, IA- The Rockford IceHogs (26-34-3-2) open up another home-and-home series with the Iowa Wild (22-32-6-3) with a 7 p.m. puck drop at the Casey's Center tonight. The IceHogs have won the last three games against the Wild.

Tale of the Tape: The IceHogs return to Iowa after their four-game win streak came to an end earlier this week against Grand Rapids. The Wild enter the weekend series on a four-game losing skid after taking a 5-0 loss against Chicago Wednesday night. Brett Seney leads the IceHogs in scoring against Iowa the season with two goals and eight assists through seven games. The IceHogs have a 6-1 record against the Wild this season and enter the home-and-home series four points ahead of Iowa.

Dominic Toninato scored the overtime goal on March 14 to lift the IceHogs over Iowa 4-3 to open the three game streak. Rem Pitlick was the next overtime hero over Iowa at the BMO Center on March 28 before Olivier Rodrigue shut down the Wild in two rounds of the shootout on March 29 in Iowa.
Taming the Wild: With a 6-1 record over Iowa this season, the IceHogs have built a four-point advantage over their division rival. Goaltender Drew Commesso has a 2-0 record over Iowa, posting a 1.40 GAA and .962 save percentage over Iowa this season, most recently going 32/34 on March 28. Honoring the Past: This Saturday night the Rockford IceHogs will host their annual live jersey auction following the game against Iowa. This year's jersey pays tribute to the Rockford Icemen high school hockey team with blue jerseys that feature green and white trim and the “Old Man Winter” Icemen logo. Fans will have a chance to bid on their favorite player's jersey as players will enter the ice one at a time while a live auctioneer will start the bidding for each player. The auction benefits the the IceHogs community fund and has generated over $1.3 million over 24 seasons. A portion of the proceeds from this year's auction will benefit the Rockford Hockey Club.
