Rockford, IL- The Rockford IceHogs (25-33-3-2) conclude their home-and-home series with the Iowa Wild (22-31-6-2) tonight at 6 p.m. The IceHogs took down the Wild last night in a dramatic 3-2 overtime victory.

About Last Night: The IceHogs picked up their third consecutive win, taking down the Wild in overtime. Rockford has now win six out of it's last ten games and is now eight points behind the Milwaukee Admirals in the standings. The IceHogs would get goals from Joey Anderson and Cavan Fitzgerald in regulation before Rem Pitlick scored the overtime winner with just six seconds left in the overtime period. Drew Commesso made 32 saves to tally his 13th win of the season. The IceHogs now have a three point advantage over the Wild going into this evening's battle against Iowa.

Three Things To Know: 

Player Signings: General Manager Mark Bernard announced a trio of contract signings this week. Rockford resigned forwards Jamie Engelbert and Kevin Lombardi to extensions that run through the 2026-27 season. Engelbert has appeared in 60 games in his first full AHL season, collecting 25 points (8G, 17A). Engelbert, 25, tallied 31 points in 38 games with Head Coach Jared Nightingale and the South Carolina Stingrays last season. Lombardi has picked up 21 points (12G, 9A) in his first full AHL season. The 27-year-old also collected 18 points in just 15 games with the Indy Fuel earlier this season. The IceHogs also signed forward Jiri Felcman to a PTO contract. Felcman was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft in the third round. The Czechia native appeared in 52 games with Langnua in the Swiss-A league, collecting 20 points (3G, 17A). Felcman earned a bronze medal with Czechia in the 2025 World Junior Championships. 

Red Hot Hogs: The IceHogs ride into Des Moines with a three game win streak and two consecutive overtime wins over the Iowa Wild. The Hogs are now 5-1 over the first six meetings with the Wild and are three points ahead of their Central division foe. With a 4-1 mark over their last five games, the Hogs are eight points out of a playoff spot with nine regular season games remaining. The IceHogs are 3-0 inside the Casey's Center this season, last squaring off in Iowa on December 10 with a 4-3 win. 

Veteran Presence: Rockford's three goals came from experienced AHL veterans with Anderson, Fitzgerald and Pitlick finding the back of the net. Anderson, in his fourth season with Rockford, tallied his 14th goal of the year at the 15:00 mark of the opening period and has recorded goals in five of his last six games. Fitzgerald tallied two points with a goal and assist in his third game back from injury. The Rockford blueliner missed nearly two months due to injury and recorded his first multi-point game of the season. Pitlick blasted home his 20th goal of the season to give the IceHogs the 3-2 victory over Iowa. Rem has posted ten points in the month of March and now has goals in three of his last four games. The overtime tally was his first game-winning goal of the season for the seventh year pro.
