BLACKHAWKS ANNOUNCE FIVE ROSTER MOVES

Chicago, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled defenseman Stephen Johns and goaltender Antti Raanta from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League and reassigned forward Joakim Nordstrom and goaltender Scott Darling to Rockford.

Additionally, the Blackhawks have placed defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk on long-term injury (LTI). van Riemsdyk, 23, has one assist in 18 games this season.

Johns, 22, has five assists in 16 games with Rockford this season. The Ellwood City, Pa., native made his professional debut with Rockford on April 4, 2014, after playing four seasons at the University of Notre Dame. Johns, the team’s second-round selection (60th overall) in the 2010 National Hockey League Draft, has recorded 10 points (1g, 9a) in 24 career games with Rockford.

Raanta, 25, turned aside 33 of 35 shots on goal with Rockford last night in the team’s 3-2 victory vs. Texas. The Rauma, Finland, native has registered a 1-2-0 mark, including one shutout, a .933 save percentage and 2.03 goals-against average in three games with Chicago this season.

Nordstrom, 22, skated in his first game with the Blackhawks this season in last night’s 6-2 win over the Dallas Stars. The Stockholm, Sweden, native recorded eight points (5g, 3a), including three power-play goals, in 14 games with Rockford this season. Named the IceHogs captain on Oct. 28, Nordstrom notched a season-high two goals on Nov. 6 at Iowa.

Darling, 25, has tallied a 5-2-0 record, and ranks fourth in the AHL with a .935 SV% and 1.83 GAA in seven games with the IceHogs. The Lemont, Ill., native posted a 2-1-0 mark with a .933 SV% and a 1.98 GAA in three games with Chicago this season.

Next Home Game: Friday, Nov. 21 vs. Iowa Wild. Game begins at 7 p.m. The IceHogs second meeting with the Wild kicks off with another Blues Flame Lounge Pre-Game Party at the BMO. All ticketed fans 21-and-up can arrive early to enjoy free appetizers, live music and drink specials before enjoying the game. Doors open at 5:15 p.m.
