Hall of Fame goalie Glenn Hall got the first of three scoreless ties in a Hawks uniform on December 28, 1957 at the Stadium against Boston. He recorded his second at Toronto on December 27, 1961.

Then-rookie Kris Versteeg notched the second three-point game (1 G, 2 A) of his career in a 4-1 win at Minesota on December 28, 2008.
- Eventual rookie of the year Steve Larmer tied a team record by picking up four points (1 G, 3 A) in an 8-6 victory over Wayne Gretzky's Edmonton Oilers on December 29, 1982.
- The Blackhawks established a team record with seven straight road triumphs, a run which concluded on December 29, 1964 with a 4-2 win over New York.

On December 30, 1987, Troy Murray scored a penalty shot during a 4-1 decision over the Minnesota North Stars. It remains the Blackhawks' latest home penalty shot goal.

On New Year's Eve in 1952, Montreal's Maurice "The Rocket" Richard set an NHL record by scoring on a penalty shot just 12 seconds into a game at the Stadium when he beat Hawks goalie Harry Lumley during a 3-0 Canadiens win. There wasn't another penalty shot at the Stadium for 10 years, until January 31, 1962, when Glenn Hall stopped Detroit's Bruce McGregor.

Denis Savard got the 11th hat trick of his Blackhawks career on December 31, 1989 at the Stadium in a 7-3 whipping of Hartford.
