ICEHOGS ANNOUNCE 2016-17 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE

Rockford, Ill. - With single-game tickets set to go on sale Wednesday, Sept. 14, the Rockford IceHogs announced on Monday their promotional schedule for the 2016-17 season.

The first home game of the IceHogs 2016-17 campaign falls on Saturday, Oct. 22 at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The first 5,000 fans will receive a 2016-17 IceHogs calendar courtesy of BMO Harris Bank. The IceHogs close out its first month of play by celebrating election season and giving away Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton bobbleheads on Friday, Oct. 28 to the first 2,500 fans in attendance, courtesy of Dental Dimensions.

The 2016-17 promotional schedule features new promotions and includes several traditionally popular giveaways. On Sunday, Oct. 23, IceHogs clear tote bags will be given away to the first 1,500 fans in conjunction with Halloween Night and a post-game Trick-or-Treat, courtesy of Dr. Sexson Orthodontics. On Saturday, Nov. 19, scarves will be handed out to the first 1,500 fans compliments of GoRockford.com. P.C. Labrie bobbleheads will be given away to the first 2,500 fans on Saturday, Feb. 18, courtesy of Rock Valley Culligan.

Several promotions return to the 2016-17 schedule from seasons past. Bomber hats, courtesy of Pepsi, will be given to the first 1,500 fans on Wednesday, Dec. 21. The first 1,000 kids 14-and-under will receive an IceHogs youth jersey on Friday, Dec. 30, courtesy of OrthoIllinois. On Friday, Jan. 13, the IceHogs and BMO Harris Bank will give away winter pom-pom hats to the first 1,500 fans, and on Saturday, Jan. 14, the first 2,500 fans will receive a fleece blanket courtesy of OSF.

The 2016-17 promotional schedule is highlighted by a few fan favorite theme nights. The IceHogs will sport specialty jerseys to honor all service personnel for Military Appreciation Night on Friday, Nov. 25. The popular Teddy Bear Toss Night is slated for Saturday, Dec. 3, with teddy bears and stuffed animals donated to local hospitals and kids charities. “Pink In The Rink” Night is set for Saturday, Jan. 28 with proceeds from a jersey auction going towards breast cancer research. The 18th Annual Jersey Auction game is listed for Saturday, April 1 with a live auction on the ice following the game.

The following are season-long promotions:

Skate with the Hogs: Fans will have three chances to skate with the IceHogs on the BMO Harris Bank Center ice following the games on Oct. 30, Jan. 8, and Feb. 12. Fans are required to bring their own skates as there are no rentals available.

Open Skate: In addition to the Skate with the Hogs dates, fans will have two opportunities to skate on the BMO Harris Bank Center ice without the players. Fans can skate following the games on Nov. 13 and Jan. 16. Fans are required to bring their own skates as there are no rentals available.

Fas Fuel Winning Weekdays: Winning has never meant more with the “Fas Fuel Winning Weekdays" promotion for the 2016-17 season. After every IceHogs win at home Monday-Wednesday, all fans in attendance can redeem their game ticket for a FREE ticket of equal or lesser value to the next weekday home game. Plus, one lucky fan will win a $50 Fas Fuel/ Fas Mart gift card.

Blues Flame Fridays: Every Friday night fans can enjoy live music courtesy of the Crossroads Blues Society prior to the IceHogs game with Blues Flame Fridays at the BMO Harris Bank Center. Fans 21-and-over are invited to this pregame party, including live music, free appetizers and exclusive drink specials. Doors leading to the Blue Flame Lounge, located at the upper concourse entrance on Elm St., will open at 5:15 p.m. before every Friday home game.

Me + 3: Fans can purchase three tickets for any IceHogs home game and receive the fourth ticket free. This package is available exclusively online through Ticketmaster.

WXRX Dollar Days: During every weekday home game fans can take advantage of $2 beers, soft drinks, hot dogs, and companion tickets.
