Rockford, IL- The Rockford IceHogs (20-32-2-2) conclude their regular season series with the Milwaukee Admirals (22-25-4-3) tonight at UW Milwaukee Panther Arena at 7 p.m. The IceHogs are chasing Milwaukee for the fifth seed in the Central Division standings, trailing the Admirals by seven points.

Tale of the Tape: The IceHogs visit Milwaukee as the Admirals conclude a six-game homestand tonight. Rockford is coming off a weekend split in San Diego after taking a 6-4 loss Saturday night. Milwaukee has dropped their last three games with a loss against Chicago and a sweep at the hands of the San Jose Barracuda. The Admirals have a 15-11-2-1 record at home while the IceHogs are 12-15-1 on enemy ice.

Three Things to Know:

Rockford Adds Blueline Experience : The Chicago Blackhawks acquired veteran defenseman Derek Pouliot last week at the NHL trade deadline in exchange for Aidan Thompson. Pouliot joins Rockford with 294 points (54G, 240A) in 462 career AHL games. Selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2012 Entry Draft, Pouliot won the 2016 Stanley Cup with the Penguins. The 12-year blueliner recorded a career-high 53 points with the Syracuse Crunch last season, notching 46 assists through 70 games. Pouliot contributed 28 points through 52 games with the Hartford Wolfpack this season. 

Series Finale: The IceHogs will take on the Admirals for the 12th and final time this season. Rockford has a 5-4-2 record against Milwaukee this season and a 2-2-1 record at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena. The Hogs currently trail the Admirals by seven points in the standings with a chance to close the gap in the final head-to-head matchup of the season. The two rivals began the season with three of the first first meetings being decided in overtime. The IceHogs have held Milwaukee to three goals or less nine times in the first eleven meetings.  

IceHogs in the Windy City: Drew Commesso picked up his second NHL career win Monday night, making 23 saves over the Utah Mammoth. Frank Nazar scored the overtime winner to record his 30th point of the season. Other notable contributors in Chicago include Artyom Levshunov (2G, 21A), Oliver Moore (5G, 14A), and Louis Crevier (4G,11A). The Blackhawks currently have 11 members on the roster who have spent time in Rockford over the previous two seasons and former head coach Anders Sörensen who is currently an assistant coach in Chicago.
