Blackhawks To Host Jeremy Roenick Heritage Night November 15

The Chicago Blackhawks will host Jeremy Roenick Heritage Night at the United Center on Sunday, November 15 before the team battles the San Jose Sharks at 6:00 P.M. Roenick will drop the ceremonial first puck, while the organization will honor him with a pre-game video and several in-game tributes.
"Today is a proud day for my family and I to be recognized in such a way by the team that drafted me as an 18-year-old," Roenick said. "Many of my greatest hockey memories are from my playing days in Chicago."
Last season, the Blackhawks hosted Heritage Nights for Tony Amonte, Glenn Hall, Steve Larmer, Bob Probert and the “MPH” line of Pit Martin, Jim Pappin and Dennis Hull.
Roenick, who retired from playing professionally on August 6, spent the first eight of his 20 National Hockey League seasons in a Blackhawks uniform after the club drafted him eighth overall in the 1988 Entry Draft. The Boston native ranks seventh in franchise history with 267 goals, eighth with 596 points and 11th with 329 assists while appearing in 524 regular-season contests from 1988 to 1996. He paced the Blackhawks in goals and points for three consecutive seasons (1991-94), which includes a career-best 53 markers in 1991-92 and a career-high 107 points in both 1992-93 and 1993-94.
Roenick never missed the Stanley Cup Playoffs in his eight seasons with the Blackhawks, ranking fifth on the club all-time with 35 goals, sixth with 77 points and seventh with 42 assists in 82 career postseason tilts. He paced the club with 12 goals and 22 points in 18 games during Chicago’s run to the 1992 Stanley Cup Final as a 21-year-old.
Roenick finished his 20-year career ranked 36th in NHL history with 513 goals and tied for 39th with 1,216 points in 1,363 career regular-season games, which included stints with the Phoenix Coyotes (1996-2001; 2006-07), Philadelphia Flyers (2001-04), Los Angeles Kings (2005-06) and San Jose (2007-09).
