Winnipeg, MB- The Rockford IceHogs (16-23-2-2 ) have made their final trip to Manitoba for a two-game series against the Manitoba Moose (20-15-3-0). 

Tale of the Tape: The IceHogs will look to start out their final series with the Moose on the right foot tonight. Rockford split their first trip to Manitoba in December with a 7-3 win and 4-1 loss. The IceHogs took the last meeting with Manitoba by a 6-2 final with two power play goals. Goalie Owen Flores earned his first AHL win making 28 saves to give Rockford the victory.

Three Things to Know:

Roster Moves: The Blackhawks and IceHogs made a pair of moves earlier this week with Chicago assigning forward Nick Lardis to Rockford and recalling defenseman Sam Rinzel to Chicago.  Lardis was named to the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic roster along with defenseman Kevin Korchinski to represent the IceHogs. His six power play goals still lead the club despite his call-up to the NHL in December. Lardis has also tallied 26 points (13G, 13A) in 24 games with Rockford this season. The Ontario native has three goals and two assists in six games against Milwaukee this season. Rinzel has skated in 19 games with Rockford this season, collecting two goals and eight assists. The rookie defenseman has appeared in 28 games with the Blackhawks this season. 

Injury Update: The IceHogs announced medical updates earlier this week following Tuesday's game against Milwaukee. Drew Commesso entered concussion protocol on January 27. Commesso left the game in the second period against the Admirals and did not return. Forward Jackson Cates also entered concussion protocol on January 27.  The IceHogs also announced defenseman Cavan Fitzgerald will miss six to eight weeks with a lower body injury. 

Back on the Road: The Hogs travel to Winnipeg to battle the Manitoba Moose for a two-game series. The IceHogs will look for similar success in their first trip up north, collecting eight goals in the two game series. The Moose have a 9-8-1 record at home this season and split their last home series against the Grand Rapids Griffins. The IceHogs will look to wrap up the month of January in the win column after posting a 1-4 record away from the BMO Center this month.
