Rockford, IL- The Rockford IceHogs (18-26-2-2) look to pick up their third consecutive win over the  Milwaukee Admirals (19-21-2-2) this afternoon. Rockford tallied six goals last night to open up the weekend. Former IceHog goalie Scott Darling will return to the BMO Center as the IceHogs celebrate the Blackhawks Centennial Season.

Last Time Out: The IceHogs returned from the All-Star break in style, picking up a 6-2 win over Milwaukee. Dominic Toninato picked up a goal and three assists including the primary helper on Taige Harding's first-career goal in the final moments of the first period. Nick Lardis and Gavin Hayes picked up power play goals to end Rockford's 0/28 drought on the man advantage. Aidan Thompson and Rem Pitlick added to the scoresheet in the third period as the IceHogs put up more than three goals against Milwaukee for just the second time this season. Drew Commesso made 20 saves to earn his ninth win of the season.

Three Things to Know:

Taige Room: Rookie defenseman Taige Harding tallied his first AHL goal in the final minute of the opening period last night. The 2021 3rd round selection also picked up his second fight in as many games, dropping the gloves with Narvin Mutter. Harding has skated in 30 games with Rockford this season and has a goal and two assists. 

Special Teams Shine: The Rockford power play found success in their return from the break with two goals. The IceHogs entered last night's game with an 0/28 streak before Lardis picked up his team-leading seventh power play goal. Rockford also shut down the Milwaukee power play going 7/8 last night. The Hogs have gone 14/15 on the penalty kill in the last two games against the top ranked power play in the AHL. 

Lardy Party: Nick Lardis tallied his team-leading 16th goal of the season last night in the opening seconds of the middle frame. The Rockford rookie has collected 30 points in 29 games which ranks him sixth in rookie scoring despite spending 21 games with the Blackhawks earlier this season. Lardis has recorded at least one point in nine of the previous ten games. The Ontario native has eight special team goals with seven power play tallies and one short handed goal. 

2025-26 Matchups:
