Three Things to Know:
Rem Leads The Way: Forward Rem Pitlick helped lead the IceHogs over the Chicago Wolves last Sunday to secure four out of a possible six points last weekend. Pitlick tallied two goals in regulation and the lone goal in the shootout to give Rockford their first shootout win of the season. The Ottawa native has 30 points this season with 15 of those coming in his first 13 games with the IceHogs.
Eight Is Great: The last time these two teams met, the IceHogs tallied eight goals to dim the Stars. Jamie Engelbert, Gavin Hayes, and Kevin Lombardi all registered two goal outings. Hayes would add two assists to pick up his first four-point outing as an IceHog. Stanislav Berezhnoy became the first IceHogs' goalie in the AHL era to record a multi-assist night. Eleven Rockford players etched their name on the scoresheet the last time Texas visited the BMO Center.
Lombardi's Streak: Kevin Lombardi returned to Rockford earlier this week after representing the Indy Fuel in the 2026 ECHL All Star Classic in Allen, Tx. Lombardi posted 18 points in 15 games with the Fuel this season before joining Rockford. His time in Rockford has proven just as successful with 11 points in 15 games with the IceHogs. With an assist Sunday against Chicago, Lombardi extended his point streak to a season-high four games. The 27-year-old collected his first three-point game in the AHL the last time the Stars visited Rockford on Dec. 27.
