2021-22 Credential Policy

For the 2021-22 season, COVID protocols mandated by the NHL and AHL require all media personnel whose access entails or entitles them to have personal interactions (within 12 feet) of hockey operations personnel or players (e.g., access to event level, locker rooms, press conference areas, press lounge, press box, bench areas or anywhere else that may be accessed by such persons) to be fully vaccinated, masked at all times while in such areas and maintain physical distancing of at least six feet from players and coaches. Individuals who previously received a non-FDA, Health Canada or WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccine are considered NOT fully vaccinated.

To gain access to these areas during the season, all media, broadcast, scouting and other personnel must (i) provide proof of vaccination, and (ii) complete a symptom self-evaluation prior to entry into the BMO Harris Bank Center. Individuals may show a physical, photographic or digital copy of their vaccination card. We will keep a record of who has shown proof of vaccination so each individual will only be asked once for the season.

All credential requests for the 2021-22 season will be handled on a game-by-game basis. Credential requests must be sent in by the Sports Editor/Director or NHL/AHL club on behalf of any employee seeking accreditation. Credential requests must be emailed to me, Joseph Zakrzewski ([email protected]) no later than the end of the last business day (4 p.m. CT) before the game desired (or by 5 p.m. CT on Friday for a weekend or Monday game).

Media Availability
The IceHogs locker room and Visiting Team locker room will not be open to media after practices or games. IceHogs media availability will take place in a hybrid format this season for in-person interviews and broadcasts on Zoom. In-person interviews will be permitted on designated IceHogs Media Days (traditionally Tuesdays unless otherways communicated) while postgame Zoom sessions will take place following IceHogs home games at BMO Harris Bank Center. In-person postgame interviews are currenly not available.
