Gordon Kaye is the Executive Director/General Manager of RAVE and in his role he oversees the BMO Harris Bank Center, Coronado Performing Arts Center, Rockford IceHogs, Davis Park and the food and beverage operations for all three facilities.

Prior to his role with RAVE, Kaye was the general manager of the Reading (PA) Royals Professional Hockey Club and also served as the team’s governor.  In that capacity, he was a member of the league’s Executive Committee for the ECHL Board of Governors as well as the Chairman of the league’s scheduling committee. He was the 2008-09 recipient of the ECHL Executive of the Year award after being a finalist for the honor in 2007 and 2008. He has instrumental in the conception and execution of the Royals’ “R-Team/R-Town” and “Proud To Be A Royal” marketing campaigns, which won back-to-back ECHL Marketing Campaign of the Year awards in 2006-07 and 2007-08. Kaye was also instrumental in creating the Royals’ Reading Eagle Wall of Honor which recognizes members of the organization who have made distinctive contributions.

Kaye came to Reading from its parent company SMG, which is the leading facility operation and management company in the world. He was vice president of business strategy and development and responsible for evaluating new business opportunities with a focus on emerging market segments and managing arena development projects. Kaye was director of team technology for the National Basketball Association for five years and was responsible for assisting teams in the NBA, the WNBA and the NBDL in identifying, developing and implementing new technology-related initiatives with a focus on ticket sales and marketing. He also coordinated the NBA’s relationship with Ticketmaster and other ticket companies while establishing the NBA/Ticketmaster call center and spearheading the NBA’s On-Sale promotions. He was manager of team marketing for the NBA, responsible for supporting team ticket sales, marketing and corporate sales.

He began his career with the professional baseball team in Utica, NY and has also worked in the Arena Football League as well as for Capital Sports & Entertainment and the International Hockey League.

A native of New York City, Kaye received his bachelor’s degree in American History from Hamilton College and his master’s degree in sport management/physical education from Indiana University. He was awarded his MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business where he was admitted to Beta Gamma Sigma National Honors Society. Kaye currently serves on the AHL Board of Governors. He also serves on the board of several local organizations, including the Greater Rockford Convention and Visitors Bureau. He and his wife, Anna, have two daughters, Amelia Rose and Stella Rose.
