By: Nate Haeni
01/13/2011 2:56 PM - Rockford, Ill.- An extended weekend schedule kicks off Friday night for the Rockford IceHogs as the Hogs will play three games in four days, including two at the Rockford MetroCentre.

On Friday night, the Texas Stars return to Rockford for the final time in 2010-11. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. and the first 2,500 fans into the building will get an IceHogs water bottle courtesy of Rock Valley Culligan and 97ZOK.

For tickets, call (815) 968-5222, on the Web through www.icehogs.com or in person at the MetroCentre Box Office open from noon-5 p.m.

After Friday’s matchup the IceHogs have three remaining contests with the Stars, all at the Cedar Park Center in Texas. Rockford is 1-0-0-1 against the Stars in 2010-11.

Then, after a trip to the Allstate Arena in Chicago on Saturday, the IceHogs will return to the “Big Orange Box” for an afternoon tilt against the San Antonio Rampage at 3:05 p.m.

Fans will have an opportunity to meet Chicago Blackhawks forwards Jack Skille and Jake Dowell along with goalie Corey Crawford. The players will be at the game signing autographs when the doors open at 2-2:45 p.m. and also during the first intermission of the game.

Fans are encouraged to bring their ice skates as they can get on the MetroCentre ice following the game to skate with the IceHogs. Patrons without skates can go to the endzone area as well to get autographs and meet the IceHogs players.

Lanes are still available for fans to bowl with their favorite players in the IceHogs Bowl-A-Thon Benefit for the Sydney Ives Foundation on Jan 23 from 2-5 p.m. A team of four can register for $150 by calling the IceHogs office at (815) 847-6381.
