- Final four-game week slated for Week 23
Week 22 Recap
The Rockford IceHogs posted another winning week in Week 22 with victories over the Peoria Rivermen and the Milwaukee Admirals. The Hogs now turn to face their final four-game week in Week 23, which includes a match up with the Lake Erie Monsters and then a trip to Texas to play three games in three days.

-Rockford finished February with a record of 8-4-0-0, marking the fourth straight winning month for the IceHogs
-Bryan Bickell, Pete MacArthur, Matt Keith and Richard Petiot all tied for the team lead with nine points in February
-Defenseman David Phillips has registered a plus/minus rating of +14 in his last 15 games
-Saturday’s shootout win was only the second of the season for Rockford (2-3)
-Both were against the Peoria Rivermen at home (Oct. 17, 4-3)
-Winger Akim Aliu recorded his second shootout goal of the season, making him a perfect two-for-two
-Rockford posted two empty-net goals (Rob Klinkhammer and Jack Skille) on Thursday
-The Hogs are tied for second in the American Hockey League with 12 empty-net goals
-Goaltender Corey Crawford picked up his 17th win of the season on Saturday, with two more wins Crawford will become the IceHogs all-time winningest goalie
-Five of Rockford’s next six contests are away from the Rockford MetroCentre
-The IceHogs had their 4th sellout of the season on Saturday against Peoria
-The crowd of 6,151 fans matched the largest crowd of the 2009-10 campaign
-The Rockford IceHogs Charitable Foundation raised $4,440 on Saturday in a silent auction of hockey and other sports memorabilia
-Rockford improved on attendance from 2008-09 at the Rockford MetroCentre for the second straight month averaging 4,504 fans in February
Hot Hog Week 22:
Winger Jack Skille led the IceHogs in Week 22 with three points in three games. Rockford’s winger tallied goals on the road against Milwaukee and Chicago on Thursday and Sunday. Skille also registered an assist in Rockford’s game-tying goal with 12 seconds left in the game on Saturday as the Hogs would eventually win in a shootout against Peoria.
Wednesday, March 3 vs. Lake Erie Monsters: The game starts at 7:05 p.m. Game-worn jerseys of Danny Bois, Akim Aliu, Jonathan Carlsson, Bryan Bickell and Joe Fallon will be given away during the game. It’s also a Golden Goal game, where fans will have a chance to win $10,000 if the IceHogs score with 9:10 left on the clock in the third period. High school and college students will also be able to get the best available ticket after 6 p.m. for just $10 as a part of WXRX’s Student Rush program. Call (815) 847-6399 and ask about the 4 for $44 family pack which includes four tickets, soft drinks, hot dogs and popcorn.
Friday, March 5 at Texas Stars: Game time is 7:30 p.m. The Rockford IceHogs make their third of four trips to Texas in 2009-10 to face the Texas Stars in suburban Austin. It is the sixth of eight games played between the two teams this season and third of four at the Cedar Park Center.
Saturday, March 6 at San Antonio Rampage: The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs and Rampage meet for the sixth of eight times and second of four at the AT&T Center. It is the first of back-to-back games in San Antonio between the two teams.
Sunday, March 7 at San Antonio Rampage: The puck drops at 3 p.m. The IceHogs head back to the AT&T Center for the second of back-to-back games against the Rampage. The two teams will play once more in the season after this game, the final contest of the season.

Bud Light Hog Talk returns tonight at Hooters in Rockford near State and Perryville. Fans can join WXRX’s Jim Stone from 6-7 p.m. most Mondays as he chats with IceHogs players, coaches and front office members. This week’s guests include IceHogs wingers Danny Bois and Pete MacArthur and IceHogs Team President Mark Bernard. Stop by and take advantage of some great food and Bud Light specials.
