WINGER SKILLE RECALLED BY BLACKHAWKS

Jack Skille became the eighth IceHogs player to be recalled to Chicago in 2008-09 on Friday.
Skille to join Blackhawks for second time in campaign
Chicago, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced on Friday that the National Hockey League club has recalled right wing Jack Skille from the Rockford IceHogs.
In his second professional season, the 21-year-old is third on the IceHogs with 16 goals and ranks fourth with 38 points in 47 games. The Madison, Wis. native appeared in Chicago’s first six games in 2008-09, notching one goal and five penalty minutes before being assigned to Rockford on Oct. 21.
Skille played in 16 games with the Blackhawks in 2007-08, finishing with three goals and two assists.  He also racked up 16 goals and 18 assists in 59 contests with Rockford en route to being named the team’s 2007-08 Rookie of the Year.
Prior to turning pro, Skille spent two seasons at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2005-07), recording 38 points (21g-17a) and 47 penalty minutes in 65 games. He was a member of the Badgers 2006 NCAA National Championship team.
Next Home Game: Friday, March 6 vs. Quad City Flames.  The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.  The IceHogs and Flames meet up in Rockford for the final time in 2008-09.  The first 2,500 kids 14-and under will receive an IceHogs Lunch Tin courtesy of Rock Valley Culligan, Rockford Health Systems and 13 WREX.
