IceHogs will set franchise attendance record this weekend

Rockford, Ill. – Just two games remain on the Rockford IceHogs 2013-14 regular season schedule this season. The IceHogs will set a new attendance record on Friday to kick off the two-game set.

For tickets to Friday or Saturday’s games call (815) 968-5222, visit, or stop by the BMO Harris Bank Center or any Ticketmaster outlet, including Walmart.

The IceHogs host the Chicago Wolves at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Friday night at 7 p.m. The first 1,500 fans to the BMO will receive an IceHogs Beach Towel courtesy of Peak Fitness.

The contest will be the final Illinois Lottery Cup contest of the season series with the Wolves holding a narrow one-point lead over the IceHogs. If the game ends in regulation, the winner will win the 2013-14 Illinois Lottery Cup.

Also, OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center will be in attendance with one of their da Vinci robotic surgical systems and will allow kids to play a game using the system. Children will be competing against the score of Hammy and the highest scorer will win four tickets to the IceHogs 2014-15 season opener.

Saturday’s contest will be the season finale against the Charlotte Checkers with possible playoff repercussions. The IceHogs and Checkers are currently tied for ninth in the Western Conference, fighting for the final playoff spot.

The first 2,500 fans through the gates will receive an IceHogs Team Photo. In honor of our fans, prizes will be given out at each and every whistle during the contest

Two fans will be randomly selected to join season ticket holders for “Jerseys Off Our Back.” The fans selected will receive a game worn jersey from an IceHogs player out on the ice following the game.

The previous attendance record for the IceHogs was set in the 2010-11 season in 40 home games with 174,418 fans. Rockford will set a new attendance record in just their 37th home game of the season.
