Rockford, Ill.- With the holiday season underway the Rockford IceHogs are hosting their annual Teddy Bear Toss game on Saturday at the BMO Harris Bank Center at 7 p.m. when the Chicago Wolves come to town.

Following the IceHogs first goal, fans are encouraged to throw new stuffed animals onto the ice. The stuffed animals will be collected and donated to local hospitals and various charities by the IceHogs players, coaches and front office staff. The Hogs are hoping to break their previous record of 5,500 donations this year.

Also the first 2,500 fans in attendance 21-and-over will receive an IceHogs scarf courtesy of Bud Light.

To purchase tickets to the game call (815) 968-5222, visit IceHogs.com or stop by the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office or any Ticketmaster outlet.

Stick around following the game and get your chance to win a free pizza from Papa John’s in the Papa John’s Pizza Shootout. All fans will be encouraged to come down to center ice and shoot for their chance to win. All participants will receive a prize regardless of the shootout outcome.

Be advised that the ‘Stroll on State’ will be taking place in downtown Rockford prior to the game and various streets around the BMO will be blocked off starting at 4 p.m. including East State St. Alternate routes include taking Jefferson St. and Main St. into downtown Rockford. Fans are encouraged to leave early for the game as alternate routes may need to be taken and traffic may be heavy.
