Providence, R.I. - Toronto Marlies forward Ryan Hamilton completed a hat trick with 11.2 seconds remaining in regulation, breaking a tie and sending the Western Conference to a 7-6 win over the Eastern Conference in the 2013 American Hockey League All-Star Game before a capacity crowd of 10,846 fans at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.

Hamilton, who was named the Dunkin’ Donuts All-Star Game Most Valuable Player, scored the final three West goals of the night to record the seventh hat trick in All-Star Game history.

For the Rockford IceHogs representatives, Martin St. Pierre appeared in his fifth career AHL All-Star game, while defenseman Adam Clendening was one of 12 rookies to partake in the All-Star festivities. Both were held off of the score sheet, however, Clendening ripped three shots on net and also began the rush for the West’s fourth goal of the night, which was scored by San Antonio’s Drew Shore and assisted by Houston’s Jason Zucker and Rochester’s Brayden McNabb.

In his five career All-Star contests, St. Pierre has four goals and four assists and holds a +1 plus/minus rating. The IceHogs captain also represented Rockford in the 2007 All-Star game in Binghamton and also appeared in All-Star Classics in 2006 (at Manitoba), 2008 (at Worcester) and 2010 (at Portland).

Next Home Game: Saturday, Feb. 9 vs. Houston Aeros. Game time is slated for 7:05 p.m. The first 2,000 fans to the game will pick up a Colin Fraser Bobblehands figurine courtesy of Gatorade, recognizing the first former IceHogs skater to win two Stanley Cups.
