Hot Hog: Week 22:
Carter Hutton, Goaltender

Rockford’s netminder Carter Hutton engineered his second unblemished week of season during Week 22, helping the IceHogs win all three of their games by allowing just three goals over the weekend. Hutton made 22 saves on Friday, backstopping the IceHogs to a 3-2 win on the road over the Midwest Division rival Chicago Wolves. Then on Saturday, the 26 year old helped Rockford complete a 2-1 come-from-behind shootout victory against Milwaukee by turning away 23 of the 24 chances he faced and stopping all three in the shootout. Following the thrilling win, Hutton came right back the very next night (Sunday) and blanked the Chicago Wolves 1-0 in overtime at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The Thunder Bay, Ontario native blocked all 29 shots faced to earn his second shutout of the season. Hutton went 3-0-0 while stopping 74 of 77 shots in three starts in Week 22, good for a 0.95 goals against average and a .961 save percentage with one shutout.
