In addition to Gove, Pittsburgh also signed newly-acquired defenseman Danny Richmond to a one-year contract on Tuesday. Richmond, 23, was acquired by the Penguins in exchange for Tim Brent on July 17. He appeared in seven games with the Chicago Blackhawks during the 2007-08 season and scored 14 points (two goals, 12 assists) along with 156 penalty minutes in 40 games with the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL.
