-The Rockford IceHogs snapped a season-high five-game road win streak with a loss at Grand Rapids on Wednesday before finishing the week winless in three contests. The IceHogs have dropped four of the last six games to fall into fourth place in the Central Division.
-Lucas Carlsson finished the week as the IceHogs’ lone skater with more than one point. The rookie defenseman tallied a pair of assists last week and has now found the scoresheet in five of his last seven contests. Carlsson leads all IceHogs skaters with six points (1g, 5a) in that span dating to Nov. 4.
-Dennis Gilbert posted an even-or-better plus/minus rating in a season-high seven consecutive games prior to snapping that streak Saturday at San Antonio (-1). The blueliner was -3 prior to the beginning of that stretch, but has since skated to a +2 rating in nine games during the month of November. Gilbert is second among all IceHogs defenseman in plus/minus thus far in November (trails Darren Raddysh, +3).
-Rockford enters the week having only once allowed more than one power-play goal in a game through the first 18 contests of the 2018-19 season. The IceHogs currently boast the fourth-best PK in the AHL with an efficiency of 86.1 percent, and have allowed the eighth-fewest power-play goals (11) in the league.
-Jordan Schroeder returned to action Friday for the first time since Oct. 24 and scored the IceHogs’ lone goal against the Stars. The forward has potted goals in four of his last six contests and totaled five points (4g, 1a) over that span. He is currently two goals shy of the team lead, despite playing in just nine of the first 18 games.
-Rockford has scored just one goal in each of its last three games since Nov. 14, and has been held to one or no goals in eight of 18 total games during the 2018-19 season. Rockford enters the week ranked 30th out of 31 teams in overall scoring (2.50 goals/game) behind only San Antonio (2.12 goals/game).
Tuesday, Nov. 20 | Rockford at San Antonio (7 p.m.) The Rockford IceHogs cap a season-long six-game road trip with a Tuesday night contest against the Rampage. Rockford seeks to bounce back from Saturday’s loss in the series.
Friday, Nov. 23 | Rockford vs Chicago (7 p.m.) The IceHogs return to the BMO Harris Bank Center for their first ever Hockey Fights Cancer Night. The Hogs will don lavender jerseys, and the first 1,500 fans will receive a free LED fan courtesy of SwedishAmerican Hospitals.
Saturday, Nov. 24 | Rockford at Milwaukee (6 p.m.) Rockford hits the road again for a two-game trip at Milwaukee and Chicago. The IceHogs are 2-0-0-0 against the Admirals this season with each of the two wins on the road.
Sunday, Nov. 25 | Rockford at Chicago (3 p.m.) The IceHogs cap a four-game week with an Illinois Lottery Cup series showdown with the Wolves. Rockford won the series opener 4-3 in Rosemont on Nov. 10.
BUD LIGHT MONTHLY MONDAY HOG TALK AT VINTAGE 501:
Bud Light Hog Talk returns to Vintage 501 on Monday, Dec. 3. Vintage 501 is located in downtown Rockford at 501 E. State St. Fans can join broadcaster Joseph Zakrzewski from 6-7 p.m. on the first Monday of every month throughout the season as the duo chats with IceHogs players, coaches and front office members. For those unable to attend the show in-person, Monday’s show will be streaming live on IceHogs.com. “Bud Light Hog Talk” will also be available on www.icehogs.com following the live show. Fans can access the podcast through the “Audio Highlights” link in the “Multimedia” menu. The expected guests are goaltender Collin Delia and defenseman Darren Raddysh.
