ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs have recalled defenseman Robin Press from the ECHL's Indy Fuel.
Press, 22, has spent the majority of the 2017-18 season with the Fuel, combining for six assists and four penalty minutes in 13 games. The 6-3, 209 lbs. blueliner was tied for the team lead among defenseman in points and has recorded an assist in three of his last four games, beginning Nov. 14.
The Uppsala, Sweden native returns to Rockford where has skated in two games during the current campaign. He made his AHL season debut with the IceHogs on Oct. 14 vs. Iowa and recorded three shots on goal during the following contest on Oct. 15 vs. Milwaukee.
Overall, Press has collected two penalty minutes in 13 career AHL games with Rockford, and 2g-14a-16pts and 18 PIM in 43 career ECHL contests with Indy.
Next Home Game: The IceHogs host the Manitoba Moose on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. for the second of nine Fas Fuel Winning Weekdays in 2017-18.
