BACON BITS
The Rockford IceHogs dropped each of their first two games last week before bouncing back with a thumping of the Admirals of Saturday...Rockford opened the three-game stretch with a 5-3 loss at Iowa on Thursday (Nov. 9) and were 6-0 shutout vs. San Antonio on Friday (Nov. 10), but capped the week with a 5-2 victory at Milwaukee on Saturday (Nov. 11)...The Hogs extended their season-high skid to four straight games, dating from Oct. 31-Nov. 10, prior to snapping the losing streak with Saturday’s victory...The Hogs now enter the week ranked tied for second in the Central Division in points (16) and third in the division in win percentage (.571).

Forward Vinnie Hinostroza notched a team-high four points in three games last week, scoring three goals and tallying one assist during that stretch...Hinostroza now leads the IceHogs and ranks tied for eighth in the AHL in scoring with 7g-8a-15pts in 14 total games this season...The Hogs’ forward has found the scoresheet in nine of 14 games in 2017-18, and with his pair of multi-point efforts last week, has produced five multi-point games on the year.

The IceHogs converted on just one power-play attempt through three games last week and have now potted just one power-play goal in their last five games...Rockford began the season with 11 power-play goals in its first nine games, but has since combined to go 1-for-21 (.047) on the man-advantage in its last five games.

Matthew Highmore found the scoresheet in two of three games last week, registering an assist Nov. 9 at Iowa and Nov. 11 at Milwaukee...Highmore has now collected five goals and five assists during his first professional season, and enters this week’s action ranked eight in the AHL in rookie scoring with his 10 points...Furthermore, and as part of his 10 total points, Highmore is also tied for second among AHL rookies with four power-play goals in 2017-18.

Goaltender Jeff Glass helped pace the IceHogs’ lone win last week by stopping 23 of 25 shots at Milwaukee...Glass has now won each of his last three starts and has allowed two or fewer goals in two of those three outings (allowed three goals on Oct. 28 vs. GR)...Overall, Glass is 3-1 with a 2.72 GAA in five total appearances this season.
