BACON BITS
The Rockford IceHogs won each of their first two games before dropping last week’s finale 5-3 against the Milwaukee Admirals...Rockford is now 2-1-0-0 and ranked second in the AHL Central Division through the first two weeks of the 2017-18 season.
 
Matthew Highmore has tallied at least one point in each of his first three professional games and currently leads the IceHogs with five total points this season...The forward notched a goal and assist in his debut Oct. 7 at Cleveland, potted two goals Oct. 14 against Iowa and registered an assist Oct. 15 vs. Milwaukee...Overall, Highmore enters the week tied for second in the AHL in rookie scoring (trails only Daniel Sprong, 6pts-WBS).   
 
The IceHogs have scored three or more goals in each of their first three games of the season, including a season-high seven tallies against Iowa on Oct. 14...Rockford, with 14 total goals on 106 shots in just three games, begins the week ranked second in the AHL in shots per game (35.33) and tied for third in overall scoring with 4.67 goals per game.
 
Laurent Dauphin scored his first IceHogs point with an assist on Oct. 14 and netted his first IceHogs goal with a two-tally effort the following game on Oct. 15...Dauphin has now posted points in back-to-back contests and 2g-1a-3pts over those last two games.
 
Blueliner Ville Pokka has assisted on the power play in two of Rockford’s first three games...Pokka, who is tied for the team lead in power-play points (2), has led all IceHogs skaters in both power-play points and assists in each of the last two seasons, totaling 46 power-play points and 36 power-play assists during his career with Rockford (2015-18).

UPCOMING HOME GAMES
Friday, Oct. 20: The Rockford IceHogs host the Grand Rapids Griffins in the first of 10 matchups between the teams this season. Puck drop is 7 p.m. and the contest pits the Hogs against the reigning Calder Cup champions.

Sunday, Oct. 22: Rockford takes on the Hershey Bears for the first-ever meeting between the two clubs. Sunday is Princess and Pirates Night, where fans are encouraged to dress to theme while having the opportunity to meet several princess characters and Captain Jack. In addition, Sunday’s contest is also the second Kids Eat Free game of the 2017-18 season.


BUD LIGHT MONTHLY MONDAY HOG TALK AT VINTAGE 501
Bud Light Hog Talk returns to Vintage 501 Monday, Nov. 6 from 6-7 p.m. Vintage 501 is located in downtown Rockford at 501 E. State St. Fans can join broadcasters Bob Mills and Brittany Toolis from 6-7 p.m. on the first Monday of every month throughout the season as the duo chats with IceHogs players, coaches and front office members. For those unable to attend the show in-person, Monday’s show will be streaming live on icehogs.com. “Bud Light Hog Talk” will also be available on icehogs.com following the live show. Fans can access the podcast through the “Audio Highlights” link in the “Multimedia” menu.
