TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. -- Carl Dahlstrom tied the game with a tip-in midway through the third period and Alex DeBrincat sniped home the game-winning tally with just 3:25 remaining to power the Chicago Blackhawks prospect team to a 4-3 come-from-behind win over the Detroit Red Wings in the second contest of the 2017 NHL Prospect Tournament.

Dahlstrom and DeBrincat provided late heroics for the second straight game after also breaking up a potential shutout Friday with two goals over the final four minutes against the New York Rangers.

The duo sparked Saturday’s comeback when Dahlstrom collected a feed from Michael Cramarossa and was able to sneak the puck through a crowded crease at 9:25 in the third period. DeBrincat then found space in front of Detroit’s net and fired a one-timer past goalie Kaden Fulcher for the decisive goal at 16:35.

Darren Raddysh and Cramarossa also scored for the Blackhawks, and Anthony Louis posted a multi-point effort with a pair of assists.

Goaltender Matt Tomkins turned away 23 of 26 shots in his debut for Chicago.

The Blackhawks prospect team improved to 1-1 in Pool Play with today’s victory. The team is scheduled for an off day tomorrow before concluding round-robin play against the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday at 6:30 p.m. (EST).
