Rockford, Ill. – With great weather in store for the weekend, Hammy Hog will be out in the Rockford area to soak up all the sun.
Hammy ‘s busy weekend begins on Saturday as he will make four appearances at four different events. The first is at the Rockford Public Library in downtown Rockford from 10-11 a.m. as he joins the party to kickoff the summer reading program.
Immediately after the kickoff party, Hammy will head to Rock Cut State Park from 10:30-11:30 a.m. to participate in the Rockford Noon Lions’ Fish and Fun Day. Last year’s even included pontoon boat rides, fishing, face painting, and much more.
Also this weekend, Hammy will be at one of Rockford’s most popular summer events, Rockford Airfest 2014 at the Chicago-Rockford International Airport. The two-day air show begins on Friday and the IceHogs will have a booth setup both days to meet with fans and plan for the upcoming 2014-15 season, with Hammy in attendance from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday and again from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Sunday. Before the weekend ends Hammy will get his racing fix at the Rockford Speedway on Saturday night for Kids’ Night. The racing action begins at 7 p.m. and the Hogs’ mascot will be there greeting fans beginning at 6 p.m.
