Week 10 Recap
A lot of extra hockey was played by the Rockford IceHogs during Week 10, but the Hogs came away with a perfect week (3-0-0-0). Overall, the IceHogs have played five straight overtime games. After its perfect week, Rockford is now tied with the Chicago Wolves in the West Division heading into another three-game week.
-The IceHogs are riding a season-high seven-game unbeaten streak (5-0-0-2) dating back to Nov. 24th.
-Rockford has played in a franchise record five straight overtimes.
-During that stretch, four games have gone to shootouts and Rockford is 2-2 in the shootout and 1-0 in overtime.
-Rockford’s four straight shootouts is also a franchise record.
-The Hogs 4-3 overtime win over Lake Erie on Saturday was the first AHL overtime win for Rockford.
-Winger Kris Versteeg has a seven-game point streak (3g-6a), matching an IceHogs season high.
-Rockford recorded a season-high 47 shots on goal on Saturday in their 4-3 overtime win over Lake Erie.
-Winger Troy Brouwer had a team season-high nine shots on goal on Saturday.
-Brouwer leads the AHL with 10 power-play goals.
-The IceHogs have a record of 4-4-0-1 when trailing after the first period and 3-5-0-0 when behind after the second
-Rockford has played an AHL-low eight home games through the first 10 weeks of the regular season.
-When scoring two goals, the Hogs have a record of 3-1-0-2.
-Martin St. Pierre's two goals Friday against Lake Erie put him second behind Colin Fraser in multi-goal games.
-The Hogs continue to pound on their North Division foes. Including the two games this weekend at Lake Erie, the club is 10-3-0-0 and 6-3-0-0 in away games against teams in the North.
Hot Hog Week 10:
Martin St. Pierre proved to be the IceHogs catalyst once again during Week10. The Hogs leading scorer chipped in points in all three of Rockford’s wins and almost single-handedly led Rockford to a win over Lake Erie on Friday. Rockford won 4-3 in a shootout, and St. Pierre notched two goals, an assist and scored the game-winner in the fifth round of the shootout. St. Pierre also scored the game-winner in round five of the shootout in Wednesday’s 2-1 win over Syracuse.
Friday, Dec. 14 vs. Rochester Americans. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. Rockford returns home to kick off a mini two-game homestand. Rochester makes their first and only visit to the MetroCentre on Friday. The meeting is the second and final of the regular season between the clubs.
Saturday, Dec. 15 vs. Quad City Flames. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. The Hogs and Flames mix it up for a third time this season on Friday. The IceHogs welcome Drake Bell to the MetroCentre presented by Camelot Travel, Insight Communications and BOB FM. Friday is also the Hogs Annual Teddy Bear Toss. Bring a new or gently used Teddy Bear or stuffed animal, and after the IceHogs score their first goal, fans are invited to toss the bears out onto the ice.
Sunday, Dec. 16 at San Antonio. The game starts at 5:05 p.m. The IceHogs conclude Week 11 with the first of two straight in San Antonio against the Rampage. The two clubs have met three times already this season.

Bud Light Hog Talk returns tonight at Cousin’s Bar and Grill! Cousin’s Bar and Grill is the site for the IceHogs weekly talk show. Appearing on the show this week is Hogs defenseman Jim Fahey and goaltender Wade Flaherty. IceHogs Head Coach Mike Haviland will also be on hand. The show runs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and is hosted by Jim Stone and Double T. Bud Light Hog Talk returns to the airwaves as well, as fans can tune in live to 1330-AM, WNTA to catch the show. Come out to Cousin’s Bar and Grill to talk Hogs hockey and enjoy some great Bud Light and food specials!
